I'll be updating tonight from our nation's capitol…

This Is (NBC) News?

If you think about it (considering we're talking about NBC News), this probably happens all the time…

This deceitful editing to further a media-manufactured storyline is utterly misleading and irresponsible and I hereby request in the interest of fairness and accuracy that the network air the President’s responses to both initial questions in full on the two programs that used the excerpts.
Ed Gillespie, White House counselor, accusing the news network of “deceptively” editing an interview with President Bush on the issue of appeasement and Iran

Hillary's people are mad at the mainstream networks, and now NBC has pissed on the Bush.

Maybe this is their version of "fair and balanced".

The "Wife" Need Watch What She Says

Barack Obama is showing the kind of intestinal fortitude he'll need display when confronting enemies of the United States…

The GOP, should I be the nominee, I think can say whatever they want to say about me, my track record. If they think that they’re going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful because that I find unacceptable, the notion that you start attacking my wife or my family….

Whoever is in charge of the Tennessee GOP needs to think long and hard about the kind of campaign they want to run, and I think that’s true for everybody, Democrat or Republican….

But I also think these folks should lay off my wife.
— Obama, ABC's "Good Morning America", on a video produced by the Tennessee Republican Party

Maybe Michelle Obama should have watched what she said when she decided to open her big mouth.

Scientific "Consensus" Dissolving

While Barack Obama was delivering an eco-guilt trip to the Oregon multitudes…

We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK.

The "consensus" of global warming scientists are changing their tune, in droves…

I can only imagine how many academia-nuts in this country share Mr. Alloush's views…

Whoever managed to get a martyrdom-seeker into Dimona, should consider how to get martyrdom-seekers into Dimona and elsewhere armed with non-conventional explosives - and perhaps even small nuclear bombs. We should think in this direction.
Ibrahim Alloush, Jordanian university lecturer on Al-Jazeera television

It would appear Senator Obama has a few more people to "talk" to.

Quote Of The Day

Don't get me started on this one…

I stand before you today with the strength and clarity and resolve to declare to the military, my government and the world that this soldier will not be deploying to Iraq. My decision is based on my desire to no longer continue violating my core values to support an illegal and unconstitutional occupation… I refuse to participate in the Iraq occupation.

I cannot deploy to Iraq, carry a weapon and not be part of the problem.
Army Sgt. Matthis Chiroux, after testifying before members of Congress about the "failings" of the Iraq war

Hopefully Sgt. Chiroux can share his military strategy expertise with some of our generals in theater.

I Just Don't See It

Meet Ben Jealous, the new grand poohbah of the NAACP.

"As a black child growing up in this country, there was no higher ambition possible than to lead the NAACP."

As a black child growing up in this country, I guess I wasn't aiming high enough. My bad.

While being careful not to comment negatively on anyone's personal appearance, he has to be the whitest looking black man I've ever seen, especially given his new position.

Kennedy Coverage: A Difference Of Opinion

What's clear is in the aftermath of the "Kennedy Scare" (words used on some local Boston television coverage), that there are truly two types of American today.

While checking out some of the comment threads on some conservative websites, I've found some people who dislike the Massachusetts senator, his prior policy positions, and actions. I have yet to find one that wishes him dead. I've even found some that wish him a speedy recovery…

"The coverage almost gave me a seizure!"
I hope the man makes a full and healthy recovery. That being said, I also almost had a seizure listening to the sugary pap coming from a bimbo on FOX. BARF BARF BARF

Contrast that with comments from liberal sites in the aftermath of Vice President Cheney's heart issues…

My Remedy To YouTube

I hope it's nothing conspiratorial, but for some reason, my latest video is having all kinds of audio sync issues on YouTube. I've uploaded and re-uploaded it five times and I'm done.

SO…

Please go to my other joint venture: New Media Alliance Television (NMA-TV) where you can watch the new video unedited, and unlike YouTube, in the original stereo mix.

I'm probably going to blow off YouTube for the foreseeable future, as NMA-TV is kind of my brainchild and retort to Google's PC censorship tendencies, but to also promote a new site that will have a lot more action once debugged and we're officially ready to announce its existence.
